This will be our first Dust Warfare tournament, and I will be trying out the tournament rules from FFG (found here). Players will set up terrain and choose their missions as per the rules, using the Battle Builder found in the tournament rules packet. I will be happy to allow players to proxy models as long as it is clear what the model represents.
There will be room for 16 players. Each player will receive a prize from the FFG Organized Play Kit (this Quarter's kit is SSU-themed). The player who remains undefeated after 4 rounds will receive a special medal as well. Additionally, the player from each faction with the highest number of Match Points will receive an additional prize (Break Points will be used in the event of a tie, see the rules packet for details).
Chips and sodas will also be provided.
The schedule for the event is as follows:
9:30-10:15 - sign-in
10:15-10:30 - introduction/Round 1 pairings
10:30-12:00 - Round 1
12:00-12:45 - lunch break
12:45-2:15 - Round 2
2:30-4:00 - Round 3
4:15-5:45 - Round 4
6:00 - Awards
The number of attendees will determine the amount of prize support I can afford. If anyone would like to pre-register for the event, please click the link here.
maybe i'm missing this somewhere, but how many points?
ReplyDeleteVery first line : 200 AP
DeleteAlso, we will also have one or two demo tables - with demo armies from all 3 released armies. Even if you don't know how to play or have an army, but are interested - come out, learn, and have a good time.
ReplyDeleteHad a great time with the demo. Liking the game so far. Its very concise and easy to play. Remembering some of the special rules on units is tough but I am sure it comes with games. In the process now of building a 250-300 point Allies army for upcoming tournaments =]
