tournament report - Bloomington 3-26-2011

I played in a tournament this past weekend down in Bloomington.  I got three games in against some fun opponents, and had a great time.  The turnout was pretty bare, so I figured I had a good shot at going home with a prize.

Here are some more of the pictures I took at the recent Bloomington tournament.
My army again.  I took 1st place.

this week on the blogs

As short as last week's list was, this week's list is very long.  There was a lot going on this week.

Ron shows us a tutorial on wet blending.  I especially like that he talks about the appropriate times for wet blending, and that is not the be-all end-all of painting techniques.

We saw several people posting their test games with the new Grey Knights Codex.  Each one of these gave some good insight as to the potential of this new army:
Dave_G from Wargaming Tradecraft has several good posts:
b.smoove posted some WIP shots of his awesome-looking tables he's building for Adepticon.

Drathmere continues his very nice Blood Angels army with a squad of Forge World marines in different mks of armour.

Lamenter from Master of the Forge shows his finished artscale Terminator Librarian.

Old School Terminator talks about list building and starting a good army.
