South Indy 40k Tournament Results

Last weekend I hosted my first tournament.  I had volunteered to take over for the guy that normally runs tournaments on this side of town, and had some big shoes to fill.  There is a fairly prolific tournament scene in Indianapolis, with at least one event going on each month  at one of the stores in the city.  Caanaan, jRock, and myself had been putting in a lot of prep work building terrain and writing missions, hoping to make the tournament run as smoothly as possible.

Four games were played at 1500.  Each game started on time, and in the end, we had our champion:

Battle Report: First Game Against Daemons

I had been preparing to go to Ard Boyz this year, but family life intervened.  Fortunately, there is another local tournament on the other side of town at Games 2 Die 4.  So I'll be taking the Black Templars and trying them out against a new set of opponents.

My game this week was against Sweet Nick and his Daemons, an army that I had not faced before.  I had read the codex, and was familiar with their units, but I've never seen what they can do on the table.

Battle Report: First Game Against New Blood Angels

Tuesday I got in a game at the GP South store with a player trying out his new BA list, we'll call him Mr. Baracus.  I was excited to test out my Black Templars against the new hotness, but also rather nervous.  The older my codex gets, the harder time I have dealing with the new nasties that pop up in the newer books.  Anyway, here's his list:
